Betsey: what happens if a lot of leaves fall on the green roof?
Is that an issue that has to be dealt with or do they just get to lie there and rot? What if they are oak or walnut leaves… especially the walnut leaves… which are not particularly good to leave lying on other plants?
Having a house with a green roof, unless it’s in the open, may present other problems that a big commercial building with a green roof wouldn’t have.
I don’t really know…so far, they seem to blow off with only a few remaining on the roof. I’m more worried about dandelion season when seeds will be blowing everywhere and I’ll probably have to weed the roof.
